Kristen's draw to the courtroom began early. She began an internship with the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office her junior year of college and never looked back. After law school, she returned to the DA's office, where she prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanor DUIs, to aggravated child abuse, and homicide until 2016.
She then spent a decade in private practice, both running her own practice and serving as a partner at a mid-sized Chattanooga firm. Her practice centered on family law, including divorce and custody litigation, along with business litigation and criminal defense. In August 2026, Kristen returned to the District Attorney's Office.
Kristen is an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law and a Tennessee Rule 31 listed mediator.
